Main Duties of the Job
As a part of this role, you will learn to manage and develop a team of nursing staff as well as the day-to-day management of a Children Emergency Department. It is a demanding and yet rewarding post that will require you to utilise effective communication and problem-solving skills, along with complex urgent and emergency care knowledge and operational management.

Person Specification
Experience
* 2 years recent experience at band 6 within a paediatric emergency department setting
* Ability to deal with and resolve conflict
* Ability to adapt to change and manage pressurised clinical situations
* Ability to use initiative in complex situations
* Able to critically analyse and apply research to the clinical setting
* Clinical supervision experience
Governance
* To be aware of and adhere to the Trust's Vision, Mission and Values
* Experience in governance
* Experience in quality control
Qualifications
* Degree/Diploma in Nursing or equivalent experience
* Current Paediatric NMC Registration
* A&E Critical Care / High Dependency course
* Paediatric Intermediate Life Support course
* Mentorship Course or equivalent
* Paediatric Advanced Life Support course / European Paediatric Life Support Leadership course
Other Requirements
* Upholds and models the Trust values
* To work on an internal rotation basis
* To work in other areas of the Trust when required
