An incredible opportunity has arisen for a qualified senior accountant to work for an award-winning accountancy practice in Newport with clients across a variety of sectors. The company is undergoing rapid growth, and this position will play a significant role in helping the accounting team through these exciting times. You will manage your own portfolio and report directly to the director.

Essential Requirements
The ideal applicant should:
* Have a minimum of 4 years of experience within an Accountancy Practice
* Have good knowledge of IRIS, XERO (QuickBooks and Sage would also be an advantage)
* Have experience dealing with their own client portfolio
* Be ICAEW / ACCA qualified or Part Qualified
* Have experience of international accounting and dealing with international clients
* Have excellent knowledge of Audit and Control systems
* Have the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
* Have a high level of commitment and flexibility, actively offering assistance to colleagues and taking ownership of tasks assigned
* Have exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
* Be able to research technical issues when needed, advise clients, and attend meetings
* Be self-motivated and highly professional
Responsibilities and Tasks Include:
The role will involve preparing management accounts for around 100 – 120 clients as well as:
* Quarterly PAYE
* Managing statutory accounts jobs
* End of year payroll filing, P60, Dividend Voucher, and RTI
* Reviewing work diligently from junior team members and providing constructive feedback
* Evaluating financial information for management and final approval purposes
* Preparation of client VAT returns
* Preparation of budgets/forecasts and other ad hoc information for clients
* Keeping up to date with relevant technical materials
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £37,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
