Gist is currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to join our growing team on a full-time Permanent basis, based remotely with regular travel to Chineham, London and other sites as required by the projects. As Senior Project Manager, you will oversee and manage the delivery of projects from the point of Main supplier contract signature (i.e. from the conclusion of Detailed Design). The Senior Project Manager role is a hands on “implementation” role, that requires someone with significant experience ofr project managing large infrastructure implementations and automation installs. The Senior Project Manager will provide oversight and control of related projects within the future network programme, act as escalation point for workstreams within the project, identifying dependencies, risks, issues and decisions required that span upwards and outside of the workstreams themselves as well as ensure the quality of reporting, delivery of actions and analysis of problems with clear recommendations to mitigate. Senior Project Manager role details: Salary: Competitive DOE Hours: 37.5 per week Working pattern: Monday – Friday Location: Chineham or remote basedRemote, with regular travel to Chineham, London and other sites as required by the project Senior Project Manager key accountabilities & responsibilities: Lead projects within our Logistics network strategy, which supports our 10-year growth ambitions across a capital spend of £330m.£100m Co-ordinate the efforts of 10 workstreams to ensure timelines are delivered to the agreed plan, and actions, risks and issues are managed to agreed time and budget parameters. Ensure standard Project Management practices are used across the team and cross-dependencies are well understood & managed. Help develop a best-in-class Transformation function at Gist. Ensure that Senior Stakeholders are appropriately well informed and enabled to support and make prompt, informed decisions where required by the project. Maintain relationships across external providers (specifically building and automation) and influence accordingly to ensure that their programme dependencies are understood and managed. Maintain relationships across Senior Stakeholders (specifically engineering, commercial, IT, finance, operations, logistics and HR) and influence accordingly to ensure that the programme interdependencies are understood and managed. Creation of options to resolve project issues for agreement with project sponsor. Identification of the critical path within the overall programme and accountability for un-constraining this. Identification of interdependencies to the programme to and from the project itself and being the face of these programmes, bringing back issues and challenges as required. Creation and management of the Project RACI, RAID, Roadmap and Plan (delivery schedule) Constantly review the prioritisation of resources across the team including the management both internal & external development resources. Drive Plan Asustainability and safety principles into everything we do. As Senior Project Manager, the ideal candidate will have: Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field. Recognised Project Management accreditation – Prince 2, APM etc. Must demonstrate strong experience of a Logistics, Retail, Food or Supply Chain background. Proficient in the use of appropriate project delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall etc.) Project leadership with a high degree of stakeholder management. Demonstrable experience of project managing large scale automation or logistics projects Previous experience of project management of large industrial building projects Experience working in an “delivery and implementation” project management role, with a focus on driving a large infrastructure project through to successful conclusion and benefits delivery. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to a range of audiences. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Supply Chain/ Logistics/ retail experience/ FMCG. Why Gist?
