Responsibilities:
* To secure links and media placements on websites for a variety of clients
* Understand what stories and content press like to cover
* Understand what gets talked about/linked to in the relevant industries
* Understand why we build links and its impact on organic performance
* Spot opportunities for new story hooks, be it a reactive press opportunity or a tweak to an existing campaign
* Know what competitors are doing to gain media coverage/links
* Assist with client strategies from an outreach perspective
* Working to improve SEO performance and deliver regular high-quality backlinks by creating PR and outreach campaigns
* Work with content and PR teams to brainstorm and craft creative and innovative campaigns for clients
* Build relationships with journalists and the media in a range of industries
* Review team members’ target media lists
* Send out press releases and contact press with stories and content
* Research and contact websites that can provide back-link/link reclamation opportunities
* Gain exposure to the technical aspects of SEO to help develop your understanding of search engines
* Keep strategists and department heads up-to-date on results and roadblocks
* Complete and present monthly performance reports to show coverage and links achieved
* Work on new business for the agency and contribute to pitches
* Audience, data and topic research
* Thorough industry analysis and understanding of trends in Digital PR
* Planning, roadmapping and project managing your accounts from a Digital PR perspective
About you:
* Strong writing abilities
* Working knowledge of outreach and link acquisition for organic improvements
* Experience with a variety of PR and SEO tools such as Moz, Majestic, Ahrefs, Response Source and Gorkana
* Able to prioritise tasks based on deadlines and urgency
* Good understanding of SEO best practices and how Digital PR plays a part in organic rankings
* A passion for Digital PR, creative ideas and newsworthy content
* Energetic, passionate and driven to succeed - these skills will be rewarded
Experience:
* Strong written and communication skills
* Agency experience preferred but not necessary
