Role Overview: The Primary Cover Supervisor will play a pivotal role in maintaining high-quality teaching and learning during teacher absences. This includes delivering pre-planned lessons across all year groups, ensuring a smooth continuation of students' educational experience, and fostering a positive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Supervising and delivering pre-prepared lessons across the primary curriculum. Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies. Providing constructive feedback to teachers on pupil progress and lesson outcomes. Supporting students in their learning, ensuring engagement and focus. Assisting with general classroom duties and administrative tasks as required. Requirements for the Role: Experience working in a school or educational setting (essential). Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective classroom management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff. Flexibility, adaptability, and the confidence to work across various year groups. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Desirable Qualifications: Degree or relevant Level 3 qualification. Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, or similar role.
