The ideal candidate will have:
1. Experience of Learning Disabilities
2. Ability to assess medical competencies for team leaders and support workers
3. Qualification to Level 3 and a willingness to work towards Level 4/5
4. Experience as a deputy/unit manager with established work history within care homes, or an ambitious senior care assistant looking to progress
5. Willingness to support and mentor staff to achieve high standards
6. Willingness to participate in the on-call rota and ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the business
Key duties will include:
1. Ensure all staff members contribute to the best of their ability to the efficient running of the Home, and to the creation of an atmosphere conducive to the best.
2. Take the lead, in the absence of the Registered Home Manager, for all regulatory and compliance requirements, send necessary notifications to CQC and promote Duty of Candour. Ensure the service provision meets the CQC fundamental standards and is safe, caring, effective, responsive and well-led.
