Role Overview
The role of the IT & Office Administrator is to maintain a well-organised IT infrastructure and office administration in order to provide the required levels of support to employees.
This role is based 5 days a week at the Head Office in Gillingham, Kent.
Founded over 20 years ago, Lawtech has become a leading principal contractor specialising in cladding remediation. We deliver high-quality, compliant, multi-million-pound cladding repatriations and regeneration contracts throughout London and the wider Southeast.
Role Responsibilities
1. Assist with the administration, set up and maintenance of the telephone system.
2. Dealing with outsourced IT company on a daily basis – reporting new issues, changes, network problems, etc.
3. Assist in setting up desktops, laptops, iPads, mobile phones as directed.
4. Assist with basic troubleshooting, backup, and archiving. Help install and improve computer software and network equipment.
5. New recruits administration – set up of PC or laptop with support from outsourced IT company.
6. Set up computers for new users and ensure delivery of equipment to users in different locations if necessary.
7. Update company phone lists and email address books.
8. Update asset list.
9. Source and order IT equipment.
10. Train new starters on software/programmes.
11. Minute taking of meetings.
Help Desk Administration
1. Help answer all trouble calls/emails and enter work orders into company system.
2. Assist in administering and maintaining local and web-based applications.
3. Liaise with outsourced company.
4. Interact with internal clients to resolve basic help desk issues; communicate with internal clients in a professional manner maintaining confidentiality. Provide responses to internal clients in a timely manner.
5. Setting up work mobiles to ensure work emails can be accessed.
6. Setting up of WIFI/Dongles and sending to site.
7. Daily management of technology assets such as laptops, desktops, printers, and tablets using our centralized asset management system.
8. Setting up phone lines on site with external stakeholders.
Office Administration
1. General office administration as directed by the Directors’ Project Manager.
2. Visiting site as required to assist site teams with their IT.
Skills & Qualifications
1. Experience offering admin support to troubleshoot the Windows Operating Systems (95%), Apple OS X Operating Systems (5%), other software applications.
2. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Suite - Office, Teams, SharePoint.
3. Working knowledge of Apple iOS devices (Minimal).
4. Communication skills.
5. Ability to work together effectively.
6. Commercial management skills.
7. Self-management and management of others.
