This role is based in the UK and will be working on site in our UK based College.
In order to comply with our mandatory pre-employment checks, the successful candidate will be required to provide original identification documents in person to our UK based People Services Department.
**This position can offer a hybrid or remote working arrangement, however you will be required to come on-site to do standardisation training sessions and observations of staff which would amount to approximately 5 days.**

The WBL construction department provides training and assessment for apprenticeships and work placed assessments. As part of our quality assurance process we are looking for someone to carry out the internal verification of apprenticeship portfolios.
MAIN TASKS
To be the Lead Internal Verifier for the Centre and deputy Centre Co-ordinator.
Lead the Internal Verification team in terms of CPD and standardisation meetings.
Carry out formal verification of assessments in line with College and Awarding Body
guidelines.
To liaise with the External Verifier and Awarding Body.
To support External Verifier visits.
To conduct NVQ assessment activity both in the workplace and within the college.
To ensure that the awarding bodies’ assessment related documentation is standardised and maintained to a high standard in accordance with the requirements of the College, Employer, Awarding and Auditing Bodies.
To take part in developmental opportunities in consultation with the Management team and in line with College policy.
To participate in the activities of the appropriate teams.
In order to support during busy exam periods, you may be asked to undertake exam
invigilator duties. The College will provide training.

Essential Attainments
✓ NVQ Level 3 within electrical or equivalent, such as a Gold Card.
✓ Maintain accreditation to meet the awarding body requirements to access relevant qualifications in the electrical industry.
✓ Assessor’s Award (preferably A1) or equivalent.
✓ GCSE Grade C in English and Maths or equivalent.
✓ Evidence of formal structured training in the electrical industry.
✓ Recent extensive industrial experience.
✓ Have a working knowledge of Health & Safety in the appropriate vocation.
✓ Have a wide technical knowledge in the vocation.
✓ Experience of assessing electrical portfolios.
Desirable Attainments
✓ A UK driving licence free of major endorsements.
✓ Administrative skills, including IT skills.
✓ Internal Verification Award (preferably V1) or equivalent.
