What you'll do
As a key member of our Finance function, you will play a crucial role in supporting the strategic and financial plan of Sainsbury's Brand and the food commercial leadership teams. This will involve running and interpreting management reports to provide timely insights, analysis, and commentary to stakeholders. You will identify risks, anomalies, and opportunities within Sainsbury's Brand and Food First, ensuring these are communicated to the Finance Manager/Senior Finance Managers for prioritisation. Building strong cross-functional relationships with various business stakeholders, you will collaborate with teams such as Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability, Investor Relations, Business Unit finance teams, Commercial Strategy, Finance Transformation, Marketing Analytics, and Tech. Your expertise in financial analysis and problem-solving will be utilised to support business projects, manage project budgets, and contribute to the design of streamlined, fit-for-purpose management reporting. As a professionally qualified accountant or studying towards qualification, you will demonstrate strong Excel and numerical skills, an ability to turn data into meaningful insights, and excellent communication skills to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels.
