My client is a specialist mechanical contractor working within the construction industry who has been established since the early 2000s. They design, supply, install, service & maintain air conditioning, heating & ventilation systems for commercial buildings. Based in Hertfordshire, they currently employ 30 people across the business and are seeking an HVAC Project Engineer to join the team.
THE JOB – HVAC PROJECT ENGINEER / CAD TECHNICIAN
Monday – Friday / 9am – 5.30pm / 40 Hour Weeks
This can be a remote role 4 days a week; however, you must attend Project Meetings in their Hertfordshire Office on Fridays.
The HVAC Project Engineer will be responsible for the planning, design, and execution of HVAC projects. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Design: Develop detailed HVAC system designs based on project requirements, including load calculations, equipment selection, and system layout.
2. Technical Analysis: Perform technical analysis and feasibility studies to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of HVAC systems.
3. Project Management: Oversee all phases of HVAC projects from initiation to completion, including scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
4. Coordination: Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems into overall project plans.
5. Compliance: Ensure all HVAC designs and installations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards and best practices.
6. Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design drawings, specifications, reports, and progress updates.
7. Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure the reliability and performance of HVAC systems, conducting inspections and tests as necessary.
8. Problem Solving: Address and resolve any technical issues or challenges that arise during the project lifecycle.
9. Client Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, providing updates and addressing any concerns or inquiries.
10. Continuous Improvement: Stay current with advancements in HVAC technology and industry trends to incorporate innovative solutions into projects.
