About the role
We are looking to appoint a Quality, Health and Safety Manager working for a growing manufacturer based outside of Leeds. The successful candidate will be Quality biased but have a strong background in Health and Safety. This role is due to recent growth within the company and the ideal person is someone who can take their hand to both the Quality/H&S side of the business as and when required. We are looking for someone to be a presence on the shop floor, someone who doesn’t mind getting their sleeves rolled up and getting stuck into it.
Key Responsibilities
1. Promote a safe working culture throughout the business
2. Sign off RAMS
3. Conduct audits and risk assessments
4. Prepare quality procedures
Minimum Requirements
1. Qualification to HND or degree level with a minimum of three years experience in a quality role
2. Lead contact for an external audit from a customer or external assessment body such as BSI
3. Good communicator comfortable training shop-floor level staff one day and reporting to the board the next
4. Occasional travel to suppliers may be required; a passport and driving licence are required
5. Experience working within an engineering or manufacturing environment
6. NEBOSH Qualified
7. IOSHH Qualified
8. Experience with ISO standards
9. Experience auditing
