M&E Lead Engineer
Location – Leeds, LS10 1FR
Hours – Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
We are currently seeking a professional site-based M&E Lead Engineer at a commercial client site. The role is focused on the delivery of planned preventative maintenance along with additional works, reactive fault finding, repairs, and installations. You will assist in the day-to-day running of your M&E team.
As a qualified M&E Lead Engineer, you will liaise with the Account Manager to monitor the progress of all PPM and Reactive works to ensure that all jobs are being completed correctly and within the set times, achieving the most efficient and effective running of the buildings. You will manage all breakdowns, reactive, and PPM works as required, using your skills in supporting the team in resolving problems. You will also be fully conversant with the permit to work duties and assist in the operation of the system.
The Lead M&E Engineer will work within a team and contribute at both an individual and team level to provide exceptional services and levels of compliance to our client and customers by leading a team of engineers. The ability to develop good working relationships with our clients, customers, sub-contractors, and colleagues, with interaction on a professional level, is a key requirement for this position.
Skills & Experience:
1. 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulation plus any other formal electrical qualifications.
2. Mechanical awareness, FCU & AHU maintenance tasks – formal mechanical qualifications.
3. Water Testing (L8), Fire Alarm testing, and general handyperson tasks.
4. Experience of overseeing a team of engineers and leading by example.
