Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home, or another remote location. As a minimum we're all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, a minimum of three days per week.
You will be responsible for authoring, reviewing, and substantiating Marine Mechanical design definitions for power distribution systems; Prepare, develop, and maintain the 3D master CAD model, technical drawing, and relevant documentation in accordance with company procedures, engineering drawing standards, design intent (fit, form, function), manufacturing & build capability, project costs, timescales, and quality requirements. • Create specialised bespoke CAD models for analysis purposes and the management, update, and incorporation of Drawing Alteration Requests.
• Actively promote, encourage, and support the identification and implementation of continuous improvement (of tools, processes, methods, and guidance material).

• Be educated to degree level or equivalent in a mechanical field with experience in design techniques.
• Have proven experience in Mechanical design using 2D and 3D CAD to develop optimised design solutions.
• Driven to succeed and can take the lead in identifying project requirements, specifying, and executing packages of work.
• Be able to work both individually and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
• Are experienced in designing equipment to operate to naval, military, or similar environmental or regulatory standards.
• Demonstrable understanding of process driven drawing change control and associated configuration management principles.
