Purpose of the Role Support the Quality Manager by overseeing manufacturing and engineering processes, identifying quality issues, and implementing effective solutions. Optimise production processes to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and enhance product quality. Duties and Responsibilities Act as a deputy for the Quality Manager when required. Ensure compliance with all relevant quality and regulatory standards. Identify quality issues and recommend appropriate solutions. Conduct internal audits in line with AS9100 and ISO14001 standards. Manage quality improvement projects to enhance the QMS Oversee supplier product returns, conduct investigations, verify rejections, and communicate corrective action requirements to suppliers. Manage the Quality Management System (QMS) and host customer or third-party audits. Handle the return of supplied products to suppliers, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with export controls. Track and analyse Quality and Supplier Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), driving continuous improvement based on data insights. Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required. Person Specification About You Experience in a quality or manufacturing role is beneficial. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels. Understanding of health and safety requirements in both manufacturing and office environments. High level of attention to detail in documentation and reporting. A proactive approach to quality assurance and process improvement. Desirable Skills & Qualifications Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards. Experience using 8D problem-solving and 5 Whys methodologies. Understanding of risk assessments and incident investigations. Experience in conducting internal audits. Valid UK driving licence.
