About the Role Our Security Architecture team are an integral part of our overall Security function within PXC. They are strategically minded and responsible for defining security capabilities and components necessary to secure our future. We view security as a business enabler and our architects are adept at aligning themselves with our business, technology and data strategies to ensure whatever direction our business takes; it does so securely. As an Associate Security Architect, you will directly support our drive to keep the business secure by ensuring projects and changes across the business are compliant with our security policy, standards and blueprints. With the support of your peers and the wider PXC security function, you will provide security advice & best practice recommendations to business initiatives across our technology estate. At times you will be viewed as the front door to our wider security function supporting technical projects of varying sizes and working with our risk, operations and testing colleagues to ensure secure outcomes. What you will be working on Supporting the delivery of the security portfolio and roadmap. Reviewing and inputting to security standards that support our security policies and business needs. Ensure our infrastructure(s) (new and retrospectively) complies with our security policy, standards and blueprints. Responding to technical security queries emerging from projects, changes and transformation across the business. Providing technical advice and security best practice recommendations to projects. Maintaining technical knowledge of our PXC security controls framework. Process owner to ensure all new solutions and changes to existing solutions have security approval. Supporting proof of concept Lab tests. Requirements gathering from within the business. Attending technical standards and regulatory workshops. Provide consultation services during security incidents. Proving technical guidance in relation to cyber security and help drive cyber security initiatives. Review and research industry best practices & security technologies. What will make you successful in your role? Essential: Strong technical background in applications, infrastructure and/or networks Highly effective communicator Understanding of cybersecurity threats Understanding of both on-premises and cloud-based technologies Desirable: Honors Degree in STEM subject. Chartered Engineer, or similar IT qualification. Background in Telecoms.
