Change the game in Solution and IT Architecture
This is an amazing opportunity to get involved in lots of exciting projects across CityFibre, leading on their technical direction and really making your own mark on the role. You’ll be researching innovative and effective new solutions that meet key requirements from our stakeholders and implementing robust business cases on how to successfully integrate these across the business, including identifying and highlighting architectural risk and proposing mitigation recommendations. Day to day, this is some of what you can expect to be doing:
1. Working with the Enterprise Architects and business stakeholders to capture, maintain and evolve current state architecture
2. Evaluating internal functions, systems, business strategies and IT processes to find improvements that support our future goals
3. Ensuring that business and technology are in alignment by linking the business mission, strategy, and processes to its technology strategy
4. Supporting the early-life definition of programmes and projects that includes shaping and defining the scope and roadmap, and inputting into business cases
5. Managing and assisting the delivery of technical solutions that provide business advantage through effective right time, right cost and right solution design
What you’ll bring to the role
You’ll have already have solid experience researching, defining, and translating complex technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders, as well as experience working with systems and solutions deployed in a cloud environment, ideally AWS. You’ll also bring the following with you:
6. Ability to use telecoms, IT industry and enterprise architecture best practice methodologies, processes, functions, and data maps
7. Experience reverse engineering undocumented legacy systems and software, including data models
8. Good commercial awareness with the ability to select the best-fit solution
9. Extensive experience working in a scaled Scrum or Kanban environment
10. A software development background with experience coding, debugging, and reviewing development languages such as Python, Javascript, PHP and Web frameworks
