Empowering Learning are working with an oversubscribed secondary school in Kirklees who are seeking an enthusiastic and creative DT Teacher to join their thriving department. About the role: The school is looking for a dynamic teacher with the ability to deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Design Technology disciplines, including Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics and/or Engineering. Experience with CAD/CAM, 3D printing and modern manufacturing techniques are desirable. Key responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging DT lessons that encourage creativity and problem-solving Teach across KS3 and KS4 DT, with potential opportunities at KS5 Support students in developing practical skills using a range of tools, materials and technologies Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment in workshops and classrooms Contribute to the wider school community and participate in extracurricular activities What We're Looking For: A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) that specializes in Design Technology Experience or strong knowledge in one or more DT areas (for example, Product Design, Engineering, Textiles, Graphics) Passion for inspiring students and fostering a love for design, innovation and problem-solving Excellent communication and classroom management skills A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children Why Join Us?
