Team: Bury Employment Support and Training (Bury EST)
Bury Employment Support and Training (Bury EST) support young people and adults with disabilities to secure paid employment and/or develop their life skills.
We are looking to appoint a highly motivated individual into the Assistant Team Leader post. This is a fantastic opportunity to work collaboratively with the Team Leader in providing leadership and management to a team of staff who support customers in obtaining and maintaining paid employment and/or develop their independence. As a self-financing service, this is a great opportunity to work alongside the Team Leader to develop commercial opportunities for the service and implement income ideas, to ensure its financial viability.
Ideally the candidate will have demonstrable experience of managing a team including performance monitoring, and experience of working with partners/stakeholders and in networking/promotion. In addition, the candidate will ideally have knowledge and experience of the barriers faced by disabled and disadvantaged people in accessing employment opportunities.
On a personal level, our ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of IT systems, be a confident and assertive individual with excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills.
