What Were Looking For: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in promoting a safe working culture and ensuring compliance with regulations across our operations. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Promote safe working practices and monitor compliance with current legislation. Manage Safety Advisors and conduct joint site visits, providing guidance, support, and development. Utilize data analytics and investigation reports to identify trends and manage the risk management system. Raise health and safety awareness throughout the organization. Lead on Principle Contractor roles, offering advice on compliance and assessing project needs. Identify regional training needs and deliver safety presentations and training sessions. Embed a "safety first" approach and promote accident prevention. Conduct serious accident investigations and implement follow-up measures. Liaise with statutory bodies, legal advisors, and insurers as needed. Build strong relationships internally and externally, driving health and safety initiatives. Review client procedures and ensure documentation and communication across teams. Represent the company at external meetings, investigations, and audits. Monitor and audit safe working practices among subcontractors. Stay updated on legislation and best practices related to groundworks health and safety. Requirements: Degree in Health and Safety or relevant qualifications (NEBOSH or equivalent). Experience as a Safety Advisor or Manager in groundworks or construction. Proficiency in developing safety policies, RAMS, and CPPs. Experience in compliance audits and advisory visits. Knowledge of statutory regulations and construction equipment. Understanding of construction methods within civil engineering and housing sectors. Strong policy creation, interpretation, IT, communication, and reporting skills. Leadership abilities with a commitment to staff development. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
