To carry out Receptionist duties, including prioritising and arranging appointments and maintaining the various appointment systems and co-ordinating the various clinics within the department. Liaise with secretaries and other departments to ensure case notes are available for every patient attending an outpatient clinic in accordance with the clinic schedule. Ensure that:
1. Case notes are prepared correctly and in a timely manner for clinic with a front sheet and set of labels in each set.
2. Each set of notes is tracked into the department on the PAS system.
3. Case notes are maintained to an acceptable standard.
Be responsible for sending, receiving and filing future referral letters from the central appointments department.
Prior to clinic, check for any cancellations, amendments and additions to the clinic list, and book interpreters as necessary. Book patient hospital transport in accordance with Trust Policy and ensure details are inputted onto PAS.
