Due to an internal secondment Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust (HCT) are seeking to recruit a dynamic and driven leader with a passion for improving outcomes for Children and Young People (CYP) with Mental Health needs. The successful candidate will have the unique opportunity to manage Step2 a county wide, early intervention child and adolescent mental health (CAMHS) service. The service works with CYP people aged 0-19 years with mild to moderate mental health difficulties offering brief, goal focused interventions to CYP and families.
The post holder will provide skilled leadership to the Step2 service and provide direct day to day line management of the Senior Leadership team. In addition, they will liaise and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop and maintain positive working relationships including Education services, Voluntary Sector, and parent-carers.

The ideal candidate will:
· Embed a culture of continuous quality improvement within early help CYP mental health services (CYPMHS) to drive innovation, efficiency, and evidence-based care
· Take responsibility for the operational management and continuity of the early help CYPMHS within HCT including all service pathways within Step2, working closely with the Clinical Quality Lead.
· Ensure a culture that embeds Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion in the service and in the wider CYPMHS network for all matters concerning patients and staff
· Ensure coproduction on service development and delivery matters

This is a fixed term contract based predominantly at Starfish House in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, but the Trust has a number of other bases including Welwyn, Watford, and St Albans and can be flexible with your choice of base. The successful candidate is expected to work across locations in Hertfordshire to meet service needs and demands. You will needa full valid driving licence and access to a car to useregularlyfor business purposesis essential(unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010)
