Job Title: English and Maths GCSE Intervention Tutor Location: East of England, Essex, Brentwood Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £20 - £30 per hour Job Description: Job Duties: Provide one-on-one tutoring to students requiring intervention in English and Maths for GCSE exams Create customised lesson plans to address specific learning needs Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly Communicate with parents/guardians to provide updates on student performance Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress Required Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Specialisation in English and Maths education Experience in delivering interventions to students Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field Experience: At least 2 years of experience in teaching English and Maths at the GCSE level Proven track record of improving student performance Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of the GCSE curriculum for English and Maths Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs Preferred Qualifications: Additional certifications in Special Education or Learning Support Experience working with diverse student populations Working Conditions: Part-time hours, flexible schedule Work primarily in a learners home or local venue May require travel to different locations within the East of England region All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
