Job Title: Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant
Location: Maghull, Sefton
Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 3.30pm
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant primary school in Maghull, Sefton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with classroom-based experience who is looking for a long-term, full-time role supporting children across EYFS to KS1.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide support to children in EYFS and KS1, both in small groups and on a 1:1 basis.
2. Assist with planning and delivering engaging lessons under the direction of the class teacher.
3. Commitment to safeguarding.
4. Foster a positive learning environment and encourage students to reach their full potential.
5. Help with classroom management and ensure a safe and nurturing learning space.
6. Work closely with other teaching staff to monitor student progress and provide additional support as required.
7. Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress.
Requirements:
1. Must hold a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
2. Previous experience working in a classroom setting, ideally within a mainstream primary school.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Passionate about supporting young learners and helping them achieve their best.
5. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
6. Committed to providing a positive learning experience for all children.
7. A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to working with children.
Additional requirements:
1. References confirming suitability for role.
2. Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or happy to apply for one through Chalk Education.
3. Eligibility to work in the UK.
