Job Overview:
We are seeking a Project Lead - Electrical Components to join our team at Optamor. As a key member of our Engineering department, you will be responsible for leading the development and integration of electrical components into our electric vehicles. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems, ECUs, and other electrically wired components. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain requirements specifications, timing plans, and systems calibration and validation requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the development and implementation of electrical system designs that meet or exceed industry standards.
* Collaborate with engineers and technicians to integrate electrical components into vehicle systems.
* Ensure compliance with functional safety, legislative, electrical, environmental, and EMC requirements.
* Lead system review, verification & validation activities including FMEAs, test planning, and functionality tests.
* Represent the Electrical Department in status meetings and engineering reviews.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of 5 years of experience within the respective area applying for. A strong understanding of automotive new product development processes, milestones, and deliverables for each phase is also required. Additionally, you should have demonstrable experience of automotive electrical components' design, development, and manufacture. Good experience and knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, ECUs, and other electrically wired components are essential. Working knowledge of CAN, FlexRay, automotive ethernet, LIN networks, and vehicle diagnostics is also necessary.
