This role will:
* Be part of the teams responsible for the end-user experience of our software products. Your designs and decisions will define how our most important members & customers interact with our products and software.
* Craft and iterate new experiences, and features, and refine existing products and flows, optimising for usability, understanding, and delight.
* Enable the product and engineering teams by providing carefully considered, systematic, design and feedback, through an iterative, collaborative, and cross-functional design process.
* Leverage, and contribute to, our UI design system, as well as enhance the recognition, consistency, and growth and development of the Onsi brand.
* Have a direct impact on our end-user experience, and be linked to improving business outcomes, both internally, and for our partners.
What you will do:
* Turn broad and ambiguous problems into delightful products, through a lens of HCD.
* Design UI, and UX journeys, for both mobile and web that are simple, elegant, and a joy to use.
* Design using our existing design system to create new functionality for our members and clients, defining their experience and interaction with our member apps, and management software, respectively.
* Partner with product and engineering to oversee the development of a product from problem definition, through concept, to launch (and then some).
* Contribute to the development and use of the Onsi design system.

* You want to explore problems on the cutting edge of UI/UX design, such as themable design systems, deep integration of design tokens, and dynamic, localised, configurations of user experience and journeys.
You will need:
* A solid understanding of UI/UX design principles, and knowledge of the basics of HCD.
* Strong knowledge of Figma, and how design systems function.
* A well-rounded visual design skillset, with a good understanding of colour, typography, structure, and hierarchy
* Experience designing, prototyping, and specifying layouts and interactions, ready for engineers to build, as well as in-flight collaboration and course correction with product and engineering.
* Working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
* The ability to assess and prioritise tasks efficiently, to maximise your design time and output.
* Experience working in digital product design, particularly in a start-up or scale-up environment.
* Experience mentoring and guiding peers, or even managing designers, while maintaining a strong balance with individual contribution is a big plus.
