Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
As a Project Management Apprentice, you will play a key role in supporting the Green Space Team and Climate Change Team in delivering the Council’s Biodiversity Action Programme and various green space improvement projects. You will gain hands-on experience in managing and promoting green spaces, working closely with a range of stakeholders, and contributing to projects that improve local parks, wildlife habitats, and recreational spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the delivery of Warwick District Council’s Biodiversity Action Programme
* Assist in the management of green spaces, including sports pitches, wildlife habitats, trees and woodlands
* Help plan and deliver park improvement projects, including regenerating local parks and creating new green spaces
* Work with local communities, voluntary groups, and other stakeholders to promote green spaces
* Collect and analyse data to assess the success of projects

* Genuine interest in nature, sustainability, and green space management
* Strong enthusiasm to learn project management skills and environmental practices
* A proactive “can do” attitude with excellent communication and teamwork abilities
* Computer literate and able to manage tasks effectively
* Good organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines

Other requirements
To be eligible you must have lived in the UK for 3 years prior to the apprenticeship start date and not be undertaking another apprenticeship or other qualification at the same time. The intention is for the postholder to work predominately from home however, it is a requirement to attend our offices or sites within Warwick District as required. Any costs for travel from home to the office will be met by the successful candidate. However, office and hybrid working are also available.
