Maintenance Operations Engineer Apprentice
Salary: £22,048 per annum plus Veolia benefits
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday
Location: Southwark Integrated Waste Management Facility, 43 Devon Street, London, SE15 1AL
Programme Duration: up to 42 months
Candidate shortlisting will take place on w/c 17th - 24th March and assessment days will take place between w/c 31st March - 7th April.

During this programme, we'll help you develop your practical and behavioural skills and support you in gaining the technical and professional knowledge required for you to succeed in your career. You'll also gain a Level 3 Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician Certificate, NVQ Competency Certificate & IOSH Working Safely.
What you'll be doing:
1. Assist with all maintenance activities and tasks
2. Responsible for regular compliance-driven checks
3. Carry out safety checks, including emergency lighting checks
4. Carry out stock duties, including regular inventory and maintaining the workshop
5. Administration tasks related to the role, including defect reporting and raising orders
6. General maintenance of buildings, including changing light bulbs and repairing door handles
7. Assist engineers in carrying out their duties
What we're looking for:
1. A minimum of 4 GCSEs Grade 4/C (or equivalent) achieved or predicted, including Maths, English & preferably Science
2. Ability to follow health and safety policies and procedures
3. Good problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new skills
4. Good interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work with others
