Job summary This is a fixed term 9 month role to lead on the management and delivery of projects which are aligned with the Trust's Cancer Transformation Plan. The role is focused primarily on the implementation of projects and workstreams detailed within the Cancer Improvement Plan to rapidly transform and improve Cancer performance and priorities within Liverpool Women's Hospital. The projects which will be managed by this postholder will contribute to meeting the ambitions of the NHS Long Term Plan, the Government's 10 Year Plan on Cancer, and relevant Operational Planning Guidance in addition to local transformation programmes. The role will function as a project lead and will work alongside the Operational Management teams, Patient Access, Lead Cancer Nurse, Oncology Clinical Leads and Outpatient Leads, and working in partnership with the Cheshire and Merseyside Cancer Alliance, reporting to the Gynaecology Divisional Manager. Main duties of the job The role will necessitate Trust-wide project delivery, working with various stakeholders to implement and support projects which sit with different Clinical Divisions. The role will also function as a key link to external bodies such as the Cheshire and Merseyside Cancer Alliance by working with project managers and workstream leads to assist with securing funding for projects, understanding and communicating priorities as set by the cancer alliance and supporting evaluation of projects once they have achieved 'live' status. The postholder will be expected to understand the national, regional and local workstreams and contexts into which LWH cancer projects fit. The role will bring project management methodology and expertise to establish real transformation and continuous improvement across cancer and outpatient services. The post holder will support the Gynaecology Divisional Manager in the successful delivery and implementation of a broad range of clinical and non-clinical projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget. The post holder will provide high quality project coordination skills, using Microsoft applications as required to create, track and maintain project documentation and keep communication levels high to all involved parties.
