This role takes an office first hybrid approach, with a minimum of three days in the office at London Gatwick and up to two days working remotely, managed around the needs of the business.
What is the role?
To assist with the delivery of the Corporate Communications team targets, through creation of content and amplification of Gatwick's external digital channels, including website and social. Support the delivery of key digital campaigns and building engagement and continuous improvement across our social channels.
A key aspect of this role is being able to effectively monitor social channels and identify key issues.
What will you do?
1. Support Digital Communications Manager with curating and creating content for all Gatwick's social media channels, including producing and editing videos and graphics.
2. Support Digital Communications on development and content for Gatwick's corporate website, and support on continuous development to be best in class.
3. Provide wide-ranging communications support to the digital strategy and wider communications team, including planning thumb-stopping digital content (event coverage, news, campaigns) for use internally and externally.
4. Monitoring and reporting of all corporate social channels, spotting new trends and identifying key issues.
5. Support the wider communications teams as needed.
6. Join an out of hours on-call rota for press office and social media.
Do you have what we're looking for?
1. Proven experience of website, intranet and/or social media channel development.
2. Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite (or similar) to create graphics and other visual assets to agreed visual identity guidelines.
3. Experience in a busy communications environment within a PR/ digital communications/ media.
4. Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills and comprehension of different styles of writing, particularly for corporate communications.
5. Experience and evidence of producing and editing content for corporate digital channels (including video, photography, graphics, written content).
6. Proven experience of website and/or social media channel development, understanding of SEO techniques.
7. Previous experience of working on communications campaigns desirable.
8. Strong grasp of digital campaign measurement and reporting to inform continuous improvement, as well as report to board level.
9. Experience of working collaboratively across teams, external stakeholders and channels.
10. Strong understanding of risk and reputation within a corporate environment.
