Element has the opportunity for a Purchasing Administrator to join our Lab Solutions division which sells chromatography supplies to customers across the UK and Ireland. Based at our Strathaven site, you will be responsible for placing purchase orders, signing off delivery notes and liaising closely with our suppliers over delivery information. You will report to the Purchasing Team Leader and work closely with members of the Supply Chain, Warehouse, Sales Admin and Customer Services teams, providing support as required. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiast and energetic individual to join our Purchasing team and develop administration skills using our in-house packages including SAGE200 and DocuWare. Processing Supplier Purchase orders accurately within set time frames Liaise with the Warehouse Operatives to ensure the delivery note information is correct Booking in of goods received Review purchase order confirmations; query anomalies with suppliers, amending purchase orders as required File purchase order confirmations to cloud based document management system. Assist in inventory audits Arranging and completing inventory transfers between Warehouse depots including any relevant paperwork to support the transaction Communicate promptly and clearly all relevant information to the Sales Administration team to ensure the smooth completion of customer orders Manage Supplier back orders, with a focus on key accounts Liaise with freight forwarders over the collection of all international imports. Assist in the building and completion of supplier price lists Assist in the gathering and organizing of data using Microsoft Excel, to be used in predictive and statistical analysis Competent user of Microsoft Office Suite., with a focus on Microsoft Excel to beginner / intermediate standard Able to execute Excel basic formulas such as SUM, AVERAGE, VLOOKUP, basic Pivot Tables etc Previous experience of SAGE 200 preferred but not essential Excellent communication skills with a customer focused attitude Highly motivated and well organised with a high level of attention to detail Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload possessing the ability to work under pressure on your own initiative Good problem solver LI-JD2 Element is one of the fastest growing testing, inspection and certification businesses in the world.
