We are seeking to recruit a Forensic Accountant to join our vibrant and progressive team. Our Forensic Accounting and Investigation team, based in the Belfast office, is one of the main providers of litigation support services in Northern Ireland, having specialized in this area for over 35 years.
Your New Role
Reporting directly to senior managers and/or the lead Director (dependent on your level of experience), you will be personally responsible for the day-to-day management of a diverse portfolio of cases, in areas that include:
1. Personal Injury, Medical Negligence and Fatal Accident Litigation
2. Fraud Investigation
3. Criminal Defense and Proceeds of Crime
Your role will be interesting and varied, requiring you to work and report on some of the most high profile / high value cases in this jurisdiction.
Our Key Requirements
1. You are ACA or ACCA qualified with good results across your academic and professional exams;
2. You have an analytical and enquiring mind and a strong attention to detail, with the drive to learn new skills as a Forensic Accountant;
3. In having responsibility for maintaining your own case portfolio, you will have excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage your time efficiently, with previous experience of working to deadlines;
4. Excellent communication skills, with previous experience in a client facing role;
5. Previous experience of report writing and/or preparation of reports/deliverables.
6. Previous experience in forensic accounting is desirable but not essential as relevant training and assistance will be provided to the successful candidate;
7. We would particularly welcome applications from candidates who are looking to move from a smaller accountancy firm to a larger practice, however this is by no means essential, and would welcome applications from all accountancy backgrounds.
