As a result, Owens Group is looking to recruit a Fleet and Compliance Manager to join the team in our Llangennech Depot. As a Fleet & Compliance Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that all fleet operations at the Pallet Network Depot (SA postcode) adhere to the relevant legal and regulatory standards, ensuring full compliance across all fleet activities. The role is key in managing fleet compliance, investigating accidents and incidents, collaborating with workshops and compliance departments, and ensuring that operational standards related to fleet safety, efficiency, and performance are consistently met. Although not directly involved in the day-to-day operations, this role plays an essential part in supporting the broader operational team and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company requirements. Key Responsibilities: Fleet Compliance Oversight: o Ensure all fleet vehicle comply with legal and regulatory standards ( VOSA,DVSA, and other relevant authorities) Accident & Incident Management: o Take responsibility for investigating all fleet-related accidents and incidents, ensuring a thorough and accurate investigation is conducted. Collaboration with Workshops: o Oversee collaboration with internal and external workshops to ensure vehicles are maintained, repaired, and inspected on schedule, adhering to compliance requirements. Health & Safety Compliance: o Work closely with the operations team to ensure fleet safety standards meet both company policies and health & safety regulations. Driver Performance & HR Support: o Support HR and management teams in addressing driver-related issues, including performance management, compliance with working time regulations, and addressing disciplinary concerns. Fuel Efficiency & Environmental Compliance: o Monitor fleet fuel efficiency (MPG) and develop strategies to reduce fuel consumption, improve cost-effectiveness, and reduce the environmental impact of fleet operations. Record-Keeping and Documentation: o Ensure that all fleet compliance-related documentation is being kept up-to-date, with a focus on timely tracking of MOTs, servicing, inspections, and incident records. Regular Gate Checks & Standards Monitoring: o Conduct regular gate checks at the depot to assess fleet and operational standards, ensuring that all vehicles and processes meet the expected compliance and safety criteria. Compliance Liaison: o Act as the primary liaison between the depot and the Fleet & Compliance departments, ensuring that all necessary fleet-related compliance actions are carried out in a timely manner. Continuous Improvement & Reporting: o Promote a continuous improvement culture by identifying areas for operational improvement in compliance, safety, and fleet efficiency. Regulatory Updates and Training: o Keep up-to-date with relevant changes in UK transport legislation, ensuring the depot's fleet remains compliant with new regulations. Requirements: CPC operator's Licence (ESSENTIAL) Transport compliance experience (ESSENTIAL) Excellent leadership skills. Strong knowledge of Health and Safety regulations. Excellent organisational skills and attention to details.
