Environmental Advisor
Salary: £35k - £40k

A major civil engineering contractor is seeking an Environmental Advisor to work on a heavy civil/rail framework based project in London on a permanent basis.
Working on the following rail projects:
* Depots
* Station refurbishments/upgrades
* Structures
* Bridges
* Rail Electrification
Key Duties include:
* Actively engage in the inspection and establishment of environmental protection measures.
* Ensure that information, training, and task-specific advice on environmental management meets the needs of employees and those working on our behalf.
* Ensure that the EMS and associated supporting information incorporate construction processes.
* Ensure that the requirements of the EMS are being applied on operational projects and associated activities.
* Monitor operational compliance to the EMS and the requirements of BS EN ISO 14001:2004, ensuring implementation of effective improvement/preventive measures.
* Report environmental-related performance information, including but not restricted to audits, non-conformances, and incidents.
* Effectively use Workspace functionalities in relation to operational records.
* Ensure that environmental aspects of pre-qualification questionnaires and tenders are in accordance with the EMS.
Essential Criteria to be eligible for this role:
* Relevant H&S Qualifications such as a NEBOSH Certificate or Equivalent.
* Ideally Degree/HNC/HND Qualified in Civil Engineering or a Similar Subject.
* Previous Experience in a Rail Environment in the UK is Essential.
