Job Description:
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Safety, Health & Environment Advisor to join our Riverside Bakery Team in Nottingham.

The SHE advisor is responsible for supporting the SHE manager in implementing the site SHE management system. This is a hands-on role where the main aim is to prevent work-related illnesses and injuries. The ability to engage and influence at all levels of the organisation will be essential. The Health, Safety & Environment advisor will act as the site competent person in the absence of the SHE manager.
Key Duties:
1. Support the reduction of Health, Safety & Environment risks and hazards across the site.
2. Support the site to achieve legal compliance.
3. Deliver appropriate H&S training.
4. Undertake workplace inspections and audits.
5. Offer general health and safety advice across the site.
6. Implement TCFG Health, Safety & Environment management system.
7. Comply with reporting and escalation requirements.
8. Support the management of contractors and visitors.
9. Implement group initiatives and campaigns.
10. Support the site Health, Safety & Environment Manager in deploying TCFG strategy and systems.
11. Undertake risk assessment and risk management.
12. Undertake and lead incident investigation and RCA.
13. Keep accurate records and good document control.
14. Investigate working environments for unsafe practices and conditions.
15. Update compliance documents for Health, Safety & Environment matters.
16. Report Health, Safety & Environment violations to relevant stakeholders.
17. Maintain and audit safety-critical procedures.
18. Perform governance as required by the Health, Safety & Environment management system.
19. Maintain appropriate level of Health, Safety & Environment competency.
20. Deputise in the absence of the site Health, Safety & Environment manager.
21. Liaise with enforcing authorities as appropriate.
Experience:
1. Level 6 H&S qualification and Environmental qualification.
2. Good knowledge of specific work tasks (5 Years in a similar role).
3. Environmental experience and BS ISO 45001 (OHSMS).
