Teaching Personnel's PWR team are seeking a dedicated and inspiring Head of Department to join a vibrant school community in Enfield, Greater London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to lead and develop a key department, driving excellence and ensuring students achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, developing and implementing innovative teaching strategies, and fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. This role requires a strong understanding of curriculum development, a proven track record of raising attainment, and the ability to inspire and motivate both students and staff.
Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic leadership and direction for the department.
* Develop and implement engaging and effective teaching strategies.
* Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing targeted support.
* Lead and support departmental staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
* Contribute to the development of the school's curriculum.
* Ensure high standards of teaching and learning across the department.
* Analyse performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement effective interventions.
* Contribute to extracurricular activities and whole-school initiatives.
This permanent position offers a competitive salary on the MPS/UPS (Outer London) scale, plus a TLR 2b (£5,647). The role is available to start as soon as possible, with applications closing on 31st March 2025 at 8:00 AM.
