About the Academy
Outwood Academy Riverside, founded in September 2020 through the Free Schools Programme, implements the Riverside values programme for all students at the start of every academic year. The academy is dedicated to the wide variety of students who enrol, ensuring strong routines and top-notch pastoral care for all pupils.
Located at Russell Street, Middlesbrough, Outwood Academy Riverside is set to have a new school built on Pioneering Way close to Middlesbrough College. Additionally, a satellite site in Eston opened in September 2024, as the school continues to grow.
About the Role
As an EWO, you will join our team and play a critical role in identifying and addressing barriers to student attendance, developing intervention strategies and working collaboratively with students, parents, and school staff to promote regular school attendance for all students.
In this role, you will monitor and report on whole school attendance, using data analysis to identify trends and any concerns to report. Working closely with pupils, staff, parents, and carers, your aim will be to reduce levels of absence through crafting individualised attendance plans and providing support as appropriate.
Key Responsibilities:
