Discover more about our culture and approach here: https://nadara.com/living-the-company/ Job Description Summary: The role has responsibility to prepare the entity level month end reporting, annual entity statutory accounts, compliance activities and daily finance operations of the companies in the Ventient & Renantis Combined UK Group. Job Description: Key Responsibilities 1. Transactional Perform daily finance and month-end activities in accordance with procedures and timescales. Manage all accounting transactions for month end and year end including but not limited to: posting month end journals, cost centre reporting, inter-company reconciliations, monthly control task completion. Produce monthly balance sheet and income statement reconciliations and analysis. Maintain Fixed Asser Registers Prepare Month End Reporting complete with commentary to support P&C. Identify reconciling items and progressing corrective actions. Assist in the preparation of budget and forecasts. Respond and support with queries raised by internal and external stakeholders. Ensure accounts are processed quickly, accurately and within agreed SLA’s. Maintain accounting rules and work cross functionally to develop specific sub-processes. Other ad-hoc tasks as required. 2. Compliance Ensure compliance and adherence with controls for internal finance policies and procedures as well as external regulations. Compute and prepare compliance submissions e.g. VAT, corporation tax, withholding tax, national statistics, etc. Prepare statutory accounts on time and liaising with auditors as necessary. 3. Improvement initiatives Support M&A integration and ensure embedded in business-as-usual processes Support improvement initiatives including the creation and delivery of opportunities to further enhance the value of the SSC and finance systems proposition. Provide support to wider Finance team with any ad hoc financial projects. Provide support in the ERP Competencies and behaviours Results driven Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure with good time management skills Excellent attention to detail and maintain high standards Self-motivated and able to work independently Good communication skills, quickly able to establish credibility with stakeholders Strong team player Skills & Knowledge An experience technical accountant, with exceptional knowledge of statutory and operational accounting Advanced excel skills Knowledge of cost allocation principles, accounting procedures and processes Relevant experience: 5 years of finance/accounting experience, or 3 years PQE Able to deal with multi currencies Understanding of relevant country accounting practices and the regulatory environment Demonstrable people management skills Education and qualifications: ACA, ACCA or equivalent preferred Software Programmes Essential: Microsoft Office Suite Advanced Excel Desirable: Microsoft Dynamics Kyriba Piteco Travel Requirements UK and European travel as required Location: Edinburgh Time Type: Full time Worker Subtype: Regular
