Job Title: School Finance Assistant (Purchase Ledger)

Our client has a temporary role for a School Finance Assistant to support the day-to-day management of the purchase ledger processes, ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of all transactions related to supplier invoices, payments, and records. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a good understanding of accounting principles, particularly in the areas of accounts payable and purchase ledgers.
Main Duties
1. Maintaining accurate financial records
2. Managing accounts payable and receivable
3. Preparing and processing invoices, payments, and receipts
4. Liaising with external accountants and auditors as required
5. Managing petty cash and expense claims
6. Basic understanding of financial regulations and tax compliance
7. Ad hoc admin duties
8. Managing the purchase ordering system
Experience
1. Candidates must have experience working within a finance function, ideally for the education sector
2. Candidates should have experience with purchase ledger
3. Candidates must hold DBS clearance
