Summary
Practitioners (Criminal Justice Outreach Workers) provide advice, assessment, brief and structured interventions, group programmes and training courses. Practitioners (Criminal Justice Outreach Workers) are expected to work not only from ORB offices but also in Court, Probation, Police Custody and other outreach settings as required by the service specification.
Duties and Responsibilities
Working in a way that recognises and values diversity and with an understanding of the functional model of substance misuse, the model of change, CBT and a commitment to Recovery, the practitioner will:
a)Provide advice, screening, brief and comprehensive assessments with people who are working with probation, attending court or have recently been released from prison to encourage engagement in services.
