Maintenance Planner

Monday to Thursday 8 am to 5 pm and Friday 8 am to 2 pm
We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Planner for our established client based in Alfreton. You will be under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager and be responsible for the daily coordination of the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) including critical spares, stock control & stores. Key Responsibilities for Maintenance Planner
1. Work collaboratively with internal teams and external contractors to coordinate repairs and upgrades.
2. Review and allocate incoming jobs to engineers and manage the issuance and closure of planned and reactive maintenance visits.
3. Provide service support to engineers, supervisors, and managers by managing current and overdue work orders. Run reports and interpret data to ensure timely completion of tasks.
4. Maintain and manage the maintenance stores and stock levels.
5. Ensure the critical spares register is up to date.
6. Be aware of departmental KPIs and work toward achieving these targets.
7. Ensure maintenance information is available for audits.
8. Assist with contractor management and inductions.
9. Contact external contractors to ensure RAMS and permits to work are completed prior to work being carried out.
Person Specification for Maintenance Planner
1. The ideal candidate will have worked in a chemical/pharmaceutical environment previously; if not, manufacturing experience is essential.
2. Knowledge of industry standards and regulations, with experience in facilities management.
3. Ability to use Agility or other CMMS software is essential.
4. Team player with flexibility to support the maintenance team.
5. Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks, including lifting heavy objects.
6. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
