North Lanarkshire Council has recently awarded contracts for the delivery of Housing & Corporate and Roads & Infrastructure maintenance and improvement service. These contracts are a first of their scale and will deliver significant programmes of work enhancing the assets within and lives of people of North Lanarkshire.
An opportunity has arisen to lead our team in Asset & Procurement Solutions, in this key role which has been created to provide leadership and strategic oversight of contract management, governance and relationship management for these Enterprise Contracts and to ensure that the intended outcomes are realised.
In order to be a success in this role you will have a degree or equivalent level qualification in a relevant discipline combined with evidence of continuous professional development. Ideally you will have Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply accreditation and project management experience and training.
With substantial experience working at a senior level in a relevant field, you will have experience of leading a team. You will require experience of managing or working with external teams or consultants coupled with experience in contract management and monitoring including financial and programme resources.
You will have a proven ability to project manage achieving agreed outputs within budget including benefit realisation and you will have experience of leading and driving change. It is important that you are a confident communicator with the ability to influence others.
Please note, as part of your duties and responsibilities, you will be required to participate in the Council Incident Officer standby rota, which will require you to be on standby out of office hours, for a period of one week, approximately four times a year. For this, you will receive payment in line with the Council’s Conditions of Service and full training will be provided. This will be discussed further at interview.

Working Pattern
Monday - Thursday: 8:45am - 4:45pm (including a 55-minute unpaid break)
Friday: 8:45am - 4:15pm (including a 50-minute unpaid break)
