British Engines Group company, CMP Products, is a leading designer, manufacturer and supplier of cable glands, cable cleats and cable accessories.
CMP manufactures its products from three facilities based in Cramlington, Northumberland, and has a global distribution network, supported by ten offices spread across six continents from Houston, USA, to Busan, South Korea.
As a Product Management Coordinator, you will assist the product management team coordinating information to enable management of CMP’s product portfolio to successfully drive business growth. You will enhance the product management function by coordinating tasks to ensure the product portfolio is managed effectively at any stage of its lifecycle or in the discovery or development of new products.
What you’ll be doing
* Help research the competitive landscape, collate product feature requirements and help analyse how products are performing with respect to market sectors, regions, or customers.
* Collect and arrange data to aid in the drafting of business cases or specifications for new products.
* Be involved in gathering information to form the marketing and sales strategies.
* Within product introductions assist in the coordination of installation videos/animations, provide crucial information used to generate sales presentations and help with product training.
* Help capture and organise product feedback internally and externally.
* Assign tasks to support collecting and managing product information across the whole portfolio of products.
* Become knowledgeable of the products, applications, features and what the unique selling points are (USP’s).
* Assist with the presentation of product performance in terms of sales revenue / volumes, margins and pricing as well as markets, regions and key customers.
* Research and organise competitors’ information to assist with the understanding of how CMP products compare regarding sales, margins, pricing and the USP’s.
* Assist in generating new product specifications defining desired product features.
* Facilitate building business cases by gathering and organising detailed sales data to be used to make sales forecasts / pricing and margin targets.
* Support in planning and executing the product sales and marketing strategies.
* Aid the marketing team with sales materials information required for generating data sheets / catalogues.
* Work with external consultants to co-ordinate installation videos and product animations.
* Help to generate and deliver sales presentations for the CMP sales team to promote product features.
* Arrange and provide support with internal and external product training.
* Capture and categorise continuous product feedback from customers.
* Research and gather information into a format to facilitate product related decisions.
Who we’re looking for
To apply we ask that you have experience in a similar role working directly with product managers or marketing / business management teams preferably with a knowledge of cable management, cable glands, cable cleats, lugs or similar markets.
We are looking for someone with commercial analytical skills and basic commercial understanding who can demonstrate the ability to compile information into coherent documentation for a wide-ranging audience. You must have exceptional research skills with a high level of attention to detail and strong organisational skills. Good working knowledge of Microsoft office is essential.
