Psychology Graduates – SEN Support Roles in Exeter, Devon
Are you a Psychology graduate looking to kickstart your career in education or child development? Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We’re offering an incredible opportunity to work in a range of supportive school environments across Exeter and the wider Devon area.
About the Role:
We are currently recruiting Psychology graduates to work as SEN Teaching Assistants, Behaviour Mentors, and Learning Support Assistants. These roles are ideal for graduates seeking hands-on experience with children who have a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Working one-to-one or in small groups with SEN pupils
* Supporting class teachers in delivering tailored interventions
* Assisting with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
* Helping to create a nurturing, inclusive and positive learning environment
* Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, therapists and parents to support each child’s development
About You:
* Degree in Psychology (or related subject)
* Passionate about working with children with additional needs
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Empathetic, patient, and resilient
* Previous experience with children or young people (voluntary or paid) is desirable but not essential
