St Peter's Vets is a long standing and reputable veterinary practice dedicated to providing the highest level of care to pets and their owners 24/7. We pride ourselves on being a 'can do' practice with a large team of vets, nurses and support staff who are passionate about looking after their patients and excellent client care. We are now looking for a positive, motivated and compassionate individual to lead our integral front of house team.
The Role:
As the Veterinary Reception Manager, you will lead and support our front desk team, ensuring smooth daily operations and an outstanding client experience. Your role will combine hands-on receptionist duties with management responsibilities, creating a welcoming and efficient environment for clients, patients and staff alike.
This role will be based across all 4 of our branches at Petersfield, Horndean, Farlington & Liss.
Full-time hours are based on a 37.5 hour average week with a share in the weekend day rota.
Typical working shifts are between the hours of 8am - 7.30pm with a variety of earlier and later shifts.
6.6 weeks annual leave including bank holidays.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the day to day operations of the reception team
2. Schedule, train and mentor reception staff to maintain high performance standards.
3. Develop and implement processes to improve workflow and client satisfaction.
4. Manage client communications, including appointment scheduling, follow-ups and handling enquiries.
5. Address and resolve client concerns or complaints with professionalism.
6. Collaborate with the senior management team, vets and nurses to ensure smooth running of the practice.
7. Manage stock control, drug ordering and preferred products and suppliers
Skills & Abilities:
1. Proven experience as a receptionist, ideally in a veterinary or healthcare setting.
2. Strong leadership skills with a history of team management.
3. Exceptional customer service skills and a compassionate demeanour.
4. Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
5. Proficiency in veterinary practice management software (preferred).
6. Passion for animal welfare and a dedication to delivering outstanding care.
