In partnership with the Gatsby Charitable Foundation, the tour will visit over 100 schools across the UK, over a period of 5 months. Each visit will involve delivering 4 x hour long careers sessions, hosted by BBC Talent, featuring a panel of inspiring guests from a variety of industries and job roles who will aim to change perceptions, inspire ambition and highlight a variety of career pathways. The Careers Tour is closely linked to the Bitesize Careers site. https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/careers Main Responsibilities The successful applicant will be responsible for the overall scheduling and delivery of the Bitesize Careers Tour in secondary schools across the UK. You will be responsible for the day to day management of a large team on location and in the office. You will provide the editorial vision of the tour and have the ability to plan ahead for all likely eventualities and suggest/implement solutions to logistical and editorial problems. You will also work closely with our partner, the Gatsby Charitable Foundation. Although this is a more 'office' based role, you will be required to travel on location too. This includes working away from home for a number of weeks. Therefore, the successful candidate must hold a UK driving licence. It also requires a relevant DBS check to be undertaken by the BBC at the appropriate level, at the point of offer of a contract of employment.
