About Us
SeeAbility encourages people with disabilities to challenge what they expect from life, from themselves and from wider society. The people we support overcome huge barriers to achieve exciting new things every day - they challenge us all to think about what’s possible and to rethink disability.
To do this, SeeAbility provides extraordinary support and champions better eye care for people with learning disabilities and autism, many of whom have sight loss.
Our success is down to our people being at the heart of everything we do. We see a people first culture being fundamental to achieving success, so everyone partnered to the Charity can have their voice heard, influence change and have a strong sense of connection and belonging.
The Role
We are looking for someone to support us in conducting a role study over a 4–6 week period. This study will focus on the roles of our Registered Manager and Deputy Manager and aims to review how time is allocated across their responsibilities and identify blockers to productivity. The findings will provide practical recommendations for these roles, with the goal of promoting efficient ways of working and ensuring that our colleagues feel supported in their day-to-day tasks.
The study will involve:
1. Observing and documenting workflows and daily activities.
2. Engaging with key colleagues to gather their insights.
3. Producing a report with recommendations to share with the team highlighting key areas for improvement.
Ideal experience would include:
1. Role/Time and Motion Study Expertise – Proven experience in conducting workflow analysis and efficiency assessments using qualitative and quantitative methods.
2. Workforce & Organisational Development – Background in organisational design and development roles.
3. Research & Analytical Skills – Strong observational abilities, data synthesis, and stakeholder engagement to produce actionable recommendations.
4. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication – Effective at collaborating with employees at all levels and delivering clear, practical reports.
5. Project Management & Delivery – Ability to execute studies within set timeframes while maintaining stakeholder communication.
6. Desirable: Experience in health/social care.
This is a hybrid/remote role and you will be required to visit our homes for at least 2 weeks of the contract period to spend this time talking with our managers. The rest of the time can be worked from home or from our central office in Leatherhead.
