The University of Lincoln is looking to appoint a Research Impact Assistant to support the development of the impact of the Eyelander computer game for children with hemianopia (visual field loss).
You will set up a national online survey of the incidence of cerebral visual impairment in school-age children, including an online visual search task to assess functional visual abilities and visual field integrity. Existing in-game data from the Eyelander game website will also be analysed to extract user engagement metrics and changes in functional visual ability following periods of gameplay. Experience of developing surveys and experimental tasks using Psytoolkit software is an essential requirement of the post. Knowledge of visual and cognitive processes and cerebral visual impairment is desirable.
