About the Role
A leading consultancy is looking for a Manager to join its team, advising on energy regulation, policy, and strategy. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile projects that shape the future of the utilities sector, including price controls, regulatory frameworks, and industry transformation.
You will bring expertise in energy networks regulation, with a strong understanding of Ofgem’s RIIO price controls, and play a key role in helping clients navigate regulatory changes, optimise financial performance, and influence industry policy.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Provide strategic advice on regulatory policy, price controls, and market frameworks.
✔ Work with leading energy and utility clients, advising on policy developments and transactions.
✔ Engage with stakeholders, including regulators, government bodies, and investors.
✔ Conduct economic and financial analysis, applying regulatory and microeconomic principles.
✔ Draft high-quality reports, develop insights, and present recommendations to clients.
✔ Lead projects from inception to completion, managing teams and client expectations.
✔ Support business development activities, including proposal writing and client pitches.
Qualifications & Skills
🔹 Strong understanding of UK energy regulation, Ofgem’s RIIO framework, and economic principles.
🔹 Experience in regulatory finance, utility markets, or microeconomics.
🔹 Ability to apply structured, strategic problem-solving to industry challenges.
🔹 Excellent analytical skills, with experience in quantitative analysis and financial modelling.
🔹 Strong stakeholder engagement, with experience working with policy-makers and regulators.
🔹 Ability to lead projects, manage teams, and deliver high-quality outcomes.
🔹 Highly motivated self-starter, with a passion for the energy sector and regulatory change.
