PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Processing monthly payroll from start to finish
2. Checking the updates made in the system
3. Processing additional payments
4. Ensure that all relevant information relating to tax codes, NI contributions, student loans, salary sacrifice, other deductions, etc., is accurately recorded/input
5. Calculate and process salary adjustments, variable pay items, and other payroll-related transactions
6. Check time and attendance reports making necessary adjustments to overtime import into the payroll system
7. Processing sick and statutory payments
8. Deal with pay queries and arrange advances as necessary
9. Month end and adhoc reporting
10. Auto enrolment processing
11. Processing of payments to third parties
12. Ensure all company and government policies and procedures are adhered to
13. Benefit reporting and handling queries
14. Assisting payroll manager where needed

Qualifications and Experience
1. At least a year's relevant payroll experience
2. Clear understanding of Payroll related legislation, tax, and PAYE procedures
3. Computer literate - MS Outlook, Intermediate Excel, Word, with strong IT skills and an ability to learn new systems
4. Knowledge of end-to-end payroll processing
5. Good problem-solving skills
6. Ability to respond positively to changing workloads and priorities, with a willingness to undertake varied payroll responsibilities
7. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, who is self-motivated with a problem-solving approach
