As a leading supplier of care products, consumables and furniture, we're looking to recruit a permanent, full time Bid Manager to join our proactive Sales team in our Crawley location. Attention to detail and a collaborative mindset is essential for this role to manage the bid lifecycle process from initial identification of tender opportunities through to contract renewal. Excellent communication skills will be needed to collaborate and work with other team members to achieve timescales at each step of the process. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of health care and janitorial products and will hold APMP Practitioner level qualification. This is a permanent full time role, working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, typical working hours are from 8am to 4:30pm. Immediate start is available. Blueleaf is an equal opportunities employer. Your day to day responsibilities: Manage the end-to-end bid process including contract renewals. Liaise with key stakeholders, typically engaging with senior management, sales, marketing, category management, finance, and operational teams. Work with the Sales & Marketing Director and Business Development Director to develop a clear win strategy for each bid and ensure win themes are clear and compelling. Understand and resolve complex technical, strategic and business issues. Prepare and review the commercial aspects of the bid, ensuring all products / services are included in the final price to the customer and that the structure of the bid facilitates easy scoring. Risk tracking and proactive management throughout each bid process. Managing the written proposal - both in terms of design, collation, content writing and presentation. Manage the bid budget and monitor and report on overall performance against KPIs. Ensure timescales are achieved at each step of the bid process, including all internal governance, while taking the initiative in setting realistic deadlines. Ensure on-time submission of compliant and commercially sound bids. Co-ordinate and plan all client presentations in conjunction with the Business Development team required as part of the bid submission. Understand current and future market trends to ensure bids stay relevant and contemporary. Drive continuous improvement, through post-bid reviews on won and lost opportunities, both internally and with customers. Maintain and manage a bid library within Sharepoint environment or using a dedicated software platform Skills & Experience APMP Practitioner level. Competency in MS O365 software suite. 5 years’ experience in a Bid Manager role. Demonstrable experience of writing high quality statements. Proven track record of bid management within a product distribution environment. Proven experience of winning multi-million pound product opportunities Excellent communicator, both oral and written. Considerate and takes responsibility for own work. Commercial awareness. What will we offer? We will offer a salary of £55,000.00 per annum, 33 days holiday inclusive of bank and public holidays.
